Hope Child Development Center (Hope CDC) is licensed by the State of Connecticut to provide a full-day, year-round program serving up to 97 infants, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergartners, and school-aged children. Formerly Hope Childcare Center, we began operations in the fall of 2001, conducting programming from the basement of Christ Presbyterian Church.
Today, Hope CDC operates five days per week, opening at 7:30 a.m. and closing at 5:30 p.m. Designed as a community resource for all children, the Center provides an educationally sound program rooted in Christian principles and values within a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment.
Our operations are principally funded through parent fees, Early Start CT, Care4Kids, and, to a lesser extent, contributions from individuals and foundations. Parent fees are billed on a monthly, biweekly, or weekly basis and are payable in advance.
At Hope, we are committed to playful learning as the foundation of children’s development. Consistent with OEC regulations and NAEYC standards, play is not viewed as separate from learning but as the way children explore, discover, problem-solve, and grow across all developmental domains.
